Pandemic Diaries - April 3, 2020

Yes, this lockdown is stressful and mentally exhausting. However, I say this almost every day - we are so lucky!

- Electricity and water are running as normal. We can do laundry and take showers.

- We have internet access, thus we can stream shows and videos, chat with family and friends,
continue working with our colleagues, we can order food and supplies to our door and so much more.

- We can freely take strolls without fear drones dropping bombs on our heads or missile strikes or sniper bullets. We do not have to flea in rubber boats because the water is safer than the land.

- We do not have floods, snowstorms, hurricanes, or wildfires. (I see white and pink blossoms on trees!)

- We are cautious when we go out because of viral contamination. Some of us spent 1980's fearing a toxic nuclear winter where everything would die if you left your shelter.

We can take a deep breath outside.

It's all good. We will all find a new normal.
